The Market Developer position is a technical product specialist that enables the company to secure new business for select product lines across a wide range of markets and industry segments through targeted campaigns, technical sales calls and formulation/application consultation to customers. The Market Developer works closely with the Product Manager and Marketing Manager to identify specific market and customer trends to pursue through future campaign iterations. Becoming product experts for our customers and internal sales team is a fundamental expectation of this role, as our Market Developers will present solutions and achievements to a wide-ranging audience, including our customers, product managers, and suppliers. Our consultative sales approach, technical knowledge, and natural curiosity are central components to how we demonstrate our skills and abilities with our customers and colleagues. A DAY IN YOUR NEW CAREER

• Supports Product Line growth by managing sales opportunities through the full sales cycle and continuing to provide technical support upon transition of customer/opportunity to Sales Representative’s territory
• Executes sales campaigns by performing targeted technical sales calls, interacting primarily with product end-users and technical/R&D personnel to identify, test, and refine product value propositions and share results with the Product Manager
• Create and deliver Product and Industry training in collaboration with Product Managers and Suppliers. Provide product/application specific training as necessary for sales representatives
• Leads and assists sales representatives with technical sales calls to support application development and make effective product recommendations
• Maintains current knowledge of industry and global trends sharing learning with the team; participates in relevant trade shows and supplier-facing meetings
• Learn about customer processes and applications for specific market segments to validate and leverage value propositions
• Improve our market awareness and present market findings to sales team, product management team, and supplier partners
• Become an expert for the products you represent through study and the campaign process
• Use your initiative, curiosity, creativity, and sales acumen to prospect, validate, and grow your territory sales

Desired Background And Skills

• A degree; chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, or business preferred
• Three or more years of sales experience (industry/product experience is a plus)
• Formal sales training or equivalent experience in consultative sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills required. CRM or other database experience, and
familiarity with web-based applications highly desired
• High-energy level paired with curiosity and strong desire to learn and understand business issues in a
dynamic, aggressively-growing company
• Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and
risks on a continual basis
• Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and pictorial. Ability to engage with a wide
